Our Procedures : Argon

Argon and YAG Surgery
Argon Laser Surgery is useful in the treatment of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal holes and macular edema following branch vein occlusion. Argon Laser Surgery may also be used to treat some forms of glaucoma.

YAG Laser Surgery is used for the treatment of clouding of the posterior capsule. This type of laser procedure eliminates the need for invasive surgery for those patients who develop clouded vision due to posterior capsular opacification following cataract surgery. Within minutes the membrane can be opened and the vision restored using the YAG Laser. As with the Argon Laser procedure, there is usually no recovery period needed.
