Your Vision : When to have your eyes examined

Eye Exams

As you get older, your body changes, and your eyes are no exception. A regular eye exam is an easy precaution to take, and the best way to protect your eyesight. Many sight-threatening diseases can be cured or slowed if they are caught early enough in their development. Your eye care practitioner may recommend more frequent eye exams if you have a family history of eye disease.

It is particularly important to have an eye exam if you notice a change in your vision, if you are diagnosed with Diabetes, or if you have a family history of eye diseases or blindness.
